2021 Cardiff Junior Triathlon – Event cancellation (COVID-19)

We are sorry to confirm that for the second year running we have had to make the tough decision to cancel our annual Cardiff Junior Triathlon event. The event was scheduled to be held on 5th June 2021.
After reviewing the latest guidance and event restrictions published by the Government, British and Welsh Triathlon, the race organisation team along with the venue management team felt that it was not viable to hold the event in a safe and compliant manner.
We hope that you will accept that these steps are being taken to protect the health and wellbeing of athletes, officials, volunteers and spectators.
We appreciate the support everyone has given our event over the years and as a result we will be offering the following options.
All entries will be transferred automatically to next year’s event which is being held on Saturday 4th June 2022, age adjustments will be made during the transfer process. If however you do not want to be transferred you have the option to either cancel and donate the money to the club or to request a refund. Please can you forward an email detailing your decision to cardiffjuniortri@gmail.com (please note that if you require a refund we will require your bank details – Bank Name; Account Holders Name; Sort Code and Account Number).
The refund process is a manual one so your understanding and patience is appreciated as this will be carried out by club volunteers in their spare time.
If we do not receive an email by 5th June 2021 your entry will automatically transfer and we will not be able to process refund requests after this date.
